Nordkapp Midnight Sun

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Top AIrVuz contributor timoksanen brings us this magnificent video from one of Europe's northernmost spots during the summer, when the sun literally does not set.  The video was filmed at midnight in North Cape (Nordkapp), Norway, which is part of the island of Magerøya in the Barents Sea.  Located at around 72 degrees north latitude, well within the Arctic Circle (which begins at about 68 degrees latitude), the summer days here are literally endless.   The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 drone.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

Visited the North Cape in mid-July. Our first attempt after midnight on July 13th was full of clouds, fog and very heavy wind, so we decided to stay one more night on the island of Magerøya. On the following evening the clouds started to fade away and also the wind calmed down. By midnight the sky was clear and we could admire the Midnight Sun above the Barents Sea with hundreds of other tourists.
