OCEANCRAFTS is the motion gallery of the world finest ships and vessels capturing with DJI Mavic 2 Pro. Flight 0119: OCEAN DREAM OCEAN DREAM (IMO: 7915096) is a passenger ship and that was built in 1981 in Denmark and is currently sailing under the flag on Panama. The OCEAN DREAM is known as it’s excellent facilities providing a unique and dynamic environment for the "floating peace village" that is the Peace Boat experience. Overview The Ocean Dream is a large passenger ship that serves as a comfortable and adaptable platform for Peace Boat US programs. Large public event spaces are used for presentations and workshops organized by guest educators, and other events organized by staff and participants. Cabins of various size and layout offer comfortable accommodation for between one and four participants. (Pictured: 4-person inside cabin.) The Ocean Dream offers extensive deck space for reflection, events, exercise and relaxing. Peace Boat utilizes the wide range of facilities onboard in such a way as to create a floating, traveling community that accommodates participants of many different backgrounds, outlooks and generations. The many public and event spaces onboard the Ocean Dream are all multi-purpose and range from large to small, and can be used formal or relaxed events. The Ocean Dream is a full-size passenger ship with all the amenities and services to provide a comfortable voyaging experience, while still small enough to develop a vibrant community onboard, something many participants find to be the most valuable experience. Since it’s first voyage in 1983, Peace Boat has sailed a number of passenger ships of various sizes. It’s current ship, the Ocean Dream, was built in 1981 in Denmark, and has excellent facilities in which to create the “floating peace village” of community, learning, and action that is the Peace Boat experience. If you have not noticed, a Peace Boat voyage is very different from the traditional model, eschewing vacation in favor of participation, and forgoing the usual luxury in favor of a comfortable platform of travel that offers all necessary amenities in a more sustainable way. Facilities The array of public spaces on the ship have been adapted to serve as lecture halls, classrooms, offices, workshop rooms and rehearsal areas. Students from the Global University, International Student and Global English and Espanol Training programs use the classrooms, and the ballroom and lounges are ideal venues for presentations and large events, functioning both as lecture halls and stage spaces. Participants also use the various areas around the ship for self planned events, such as educational presentations, displays of artwork, sports clubs, dance practice or planning campaigns for peace activism. At the hub of Peace Boat’s activities is the Peace Center or “P-Cen,” an office space used by both staff and participants to coordinate onboard events, edit videos, produce posters, plan campaigns and publish the Peace Boat newspaper. As well as these working spaces, the ship also offers a variety of places to relax, including a sports deck, gym, library, cinema, swimming pools, coffee shops, bars and a sunbathing deck.
