Pitcher #22 - TrumpLand | Part 1 - ImpulseRC Alien 5

Thanks for tuning in folks! It's been a while. Finally I've managed to finish the first out of four, maybe five parts, featuring my latest road trip through TrumpLand. Well, not the whole US of course but sunny California and Nevada. Had a blast visiting amazing spots and rip them! What a wonderful time.

This first episode will show you around Salton Sea and Mojave. Ever played GTA5? The town where Trevor lives (Sandy Shores) is exactly based on Bombay Beach - the first spot. Located right at Salton Sea and at the end of the San Andreas fault!

The Salton Sea is California's largest lake by volume and exists entirely by accident. It was created in the early 1900s after a heavy rain caused Colorado River to burst through the banks of an irrigation canal, sending millions of gallons of water into a previously dried out lake in the California desert.

Long story short: once a booming tourist attraction (marked as "the miracle in the desert") it is now a complete wasteland with post apocalyptic beach towns. The water only appears blue because it reflects the blue sky. Otherwise it's murky brown. There are still white beaches you think but in fact they're only white because they're made up of pulverized bones of millions of dead fish. It is said to be a violent area full of drug dealers, criminals and what not. Not the best destination for a cozy holiday.

I've first visited Niland and the famous Salvation mountain (was surprised how small it was in real life) and wanted to fly a cool bando building just out of town but in the middle of my first lipo a homeless appeared at the window looking pretty grim, so I've decided that's not gonna be my first spot to rip.

After switching my Crossfire to 915MHz I flew a couple of batteries but my Alien I had terrible oscillations. Checked everything and couldn't tell why. Two days later when I flew the train tracks at Mojave the problem was still there and I had no clue what it could be. Arrived in Vegas I accidentally found out that two of my standoff's had small micro fissures you couldn't barely see making for a totally loose fc! Must have happened while transporting my quads. That fix was a quick one.

So in sum the first days were awesome, got some relaxing pool time in at my favorite place in PS and drove around a lot to shoot some pov street view footage to be added to the videos. I completely lost interest in vlogging but I have decided to do these US vids in a documentary kind of format, showing not just the spots I flew but also some impressions along the way while travelling around. Hope you enjoy!!

One last thing: man all these spots were so fn windy you have no clue. Especially when ripping the freight trains I sometimes had the feeling I am not moving anywhere because the wind was seriously crazy.
