BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

Aerial view of the Douro River mouth in Porto, Portugal, captured in late August 2025. This footage shows the aftermath of Storm Erin, with residual Atlantic swell still visible along the coastline.

The video captures key landmarks including the Cabedelo do Douro sandbank, the Felgueiras Lighthouse (Farol de Felgueiras), and the southern breakwater (Pontão da Barra do Douro - Molhe Sul) with its distinctive lighthouse (Farol do Pontão). In the background, Porto's urban skyline stretches along the riverbank, while the iconic Arrábida Bridge spans the Douro further upstream.

The elevated perspective reveals how the river's protected entrance channels into the Atlantic, with the engineered breakwaters managing the intersection of river flow and ocean swell. Despite the recent storm activity, the late summer conditions provide clear visibility of Porto's coastal infrastructure and historic waterfront.
