Located at the junction of the Val D'hérens and the Val D'hereence, the pyramids of Euseigne (name of the nearby village) are a geological form derived from the last glaciation (known as Würm, 80000 to 10 000 years BCE). Their conical shape has been protected from natural erosion by durable stone blocks that serve as hairpieces and add to their curiosity. They cannot be missed because the main road (route Évolène, de la Vallée or Sauterot) passes through a tunnel dug out of this geological formation.
