REBUILD: AP CHAU & KAT O

REBUILD: AP CHAU & KAT O Typhoon Mangkhut caused heavy damage on many outlying islands of Hong Kong. AP CHAU and Kat O are some of the many islands that are now in ruins. At Ap Chau, a small stone house (which is a lot of photo fans favourite spot) is being completely shattered. And in one of the residential housing block, loads of sand and rocks have filled up the flats and damaged the windows and door frames. At Kat O, there is an area which is next to the beach has sustained heavy damage. One of the villagers told us, during the typhoon, the sea water was being swiped up and flooded most of the houses on the island. there are a huge number of refrigerators got their motors fried because of being exposed to sea water. Lots of damaged rooftops and fallen trees, of and SO MUCH garbage that are left to be taken off the island after sorted out by big groups of volunteers during the weekend.
