Retezat Mountains, Romania, winter time

One of the highest massifs in all of Romania, the Retezat Mountains are part of the Southern Carpathian Mountains. Translating to “cut-off” in Romanian, the highest mountain in the sub-range is Mt. Peleaga, which has a peak altitude of 2.5k meters or just over 8.2k ft. above sea level.  The area is also home to Retezat National Park, the first national park in Romania. Drone pilot GeorgeMarcu traveled the peaks by ski and foot during the winter, capturing his adventure in this 4K video.
