Retezat Mountains, Romania
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Check out these amazing aerial views of Romania's Retezat Mountains, compliments of contributor ChrisCross. They sit at the western end of the Southern Carpathians, the chain which serves as the boundary between Romania's Transylvania and Wallachia (Muntenia) regions. The Retezat are home to the highest peaks in the country, led by Peleaga (altitude: 2.5k meters, just over 8.2k ft.). The most popular part of the range is in Retezat National Park, the country's first national park.
