Salento is a peninsula of southern Italy which appears as the "heel" of the "boot" that Italy resembles on a map.  Covering parts of three provinces, this largely rural land is home to some of the counry's most spectacular scenery, much of which is comparatively unknown.  In this drone video by Dani Massaro, you'll get an aerial tour of this ancient land, including shots of its famously rocky coastlines, the gold-domed Villa Sticchi in Santa Cesarea Terme Capo, and the Santa Maria di Leuca Lighthouse.
