Promotion Films created this drone video of Roermond a historically significant town in the Limburg Province of the southeastern Netherlands.  It's situated on the banks of the River Meuse, near the German border.  Sitting on some of the most fought-over territories in Europe, Roermond has been at or near many of the largest conflicts that have plagued Western Europe: the Hundred Years' War, the 80 Years' War by which the Netherlands won their independence from Spain, and the Napoleonic Wars.
