September hike to Udziro Lake, Georgia
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Udziro Lake is one of the most well known lakes in the Caucasus republic of Georgia. It's located in Racha, a highland region in the west-central part of the country which is part of the official Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region. The lake sits on the slopes of Mount Katitsvera. The hike to Lake Udziro was named the #6 hiking trail in Georgia in a recent National Geographic article. Contributor andrey_stepanov brought a drone along for the 17 km (10 mi.) trek, creating this rather stunning video.

We dreamed to go Udziro lake for the whole summer of 2018. Unfortunately, the weather forecast promised nothing but rain and thunderstorm every weekend so we limit ourselves with a short trip to the region. In 2019 the dream come true and Racha delivered! Two days (17km) trek surrounding with stunning landscapes and Udziro lake surrounded by blade edge mountains.
