Weekend hiking in Birtvisi Canyon, Georgia

Check out this stunning drone video of one of the most beautiful spots in the Caucasus republic of Georgia, compliments of content creator and pilot Andrey_stepanaov. Birtvisi Canyon is located in the province of Kvemo Kartli, which occupies a portion of southern Georgia. The gorge was created by the Algeti River, which flows through it. The canyon is home to a well known medieval fortress which is almost natural - ie, most of the structure was created by the limestone rocks of the canyon.
