St. Kilda is situated on the shores of Port Phillip Bay, a short distance south of central Melbourne. One of the most fashionable areas of greater Melbourne during the city's meteoric rise in the second half of the 19th century, St. Kilda's fortunes fell after World War II before a gentrification wave beginning in the 1990's restored its aura of exclusivity.

St Kilda is minutes from Albert Park Lake and city plus right next to other beach suburbs such as Albert Park, Port Melbourne, Elwood and Brighton.
