Sun Rising Over Fossil Rock

Fossil Rock is located just a few km/mi. to the south of Dhaid in Sharjah, one of the seven emirates (kingdoms) which makes up this Arab Middle Eastern federation. It's located towards the northeastern end of the country, inland from the Persian Gulf. The area around Fossil Rock is popular with off-roaders and is also home to some important archaeological sites.
