Tavolara, Sardegna - Italy | FPV exploring the cliffs of the world's smallest kingdom

Tavolara island, Sardinia Italy | Cruising and diving the rocky sides of the smallest kingdom in the world Tavolara was actually a Kingdom ruled by the Bertoleoni family between the 19th and 20th century upon permission of King Charles Albert of Sardinia. The Kingdom went on until 1934 when the island became part of Italy. In 1962 a NATO base was built on the north side of the island. You can see from far away the three big antennas (200m height) made for long range terrestrial telecommunication at low frequency and used by the military. There was also a lighthouse but it was abandoned years ago because the building was way too up on the coast and often covered by the clouds. Not very convenient for a lighthouse! If we look back to the past of the island we can even discover the presence of pirates in the year 1000!
