Terre di Canossa

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Contributor Mark59 created this stunning drone video of Canossa, a castle town in north-central Italy.  It's in the province of Reggio Emilia, one of the provinces that make up the Emilia-Romagna region of the country.  Famously, this is the town where the Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV stood in the snow for three days to reverse his excommunication by the then-Pope Gregory VII.  The castle itself is believed to have been built some time in the 10th century AD.
