Gear Used - DJI Inspire 2 with Zenmuse X7 Lens DJI Mavic Air RED Scarlet Dragon More on Haley Kalil - Haley Kalil was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota. She attended St. Cloud State University where she graduated with a 4.0 in biomedical sciences and psychology. She has an extensive background in the sciences - honoring in organic chemistry, biology, and physics, as well as publishing award winning immunological research. Last year, she submitted a 60 second video for the #SISwimSearch open casting. She had always dreamed of modeling but was turned down from a modeling agency at the age of 17 because her measurements were considered “too big and too short” and, at a size 0, she was told to lose 15lbs. After submitting her SISwimSearch video she was contacted by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and was invited to attend an open casting in Brooklyn New York. From there she participated in a Miami Swim Week runway show, shot in Belize with a world renowned photographer, and ultimately, won the 2018 SI Swim Search open casting call with no prior modeling experience and no modeling agency. Now she has gone on to sign with Wilhelmina in New York City and will become a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie this year! She is honored to be a part of an iconic brand that stands for body acceptance, inner confidence, and showcasing diversity of beauty. See more videos of the Caribbean HERE
