The Disaster of Gleno's Dam

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner Enrico Pescantini brings us this excellent drone video of the site of a tragic dam collapse in northern Italy.  The Gleno Dam was built between 1916-23 on the Gleno Creek in the province of Bergamo, which is part of the region of Lombardy.  Less than six weeks after its reservoir was filled, a section of the buttress dam collapsed, sending over a billion gallons (4.5 million cubic meters) of water into the valley below.  Over 350 people were killed in the disaster.
