Situated on the right bank of the River Seine, the world's largest museum was a royal palace before the French Revolution. Its most-recognized feature is the glass pyramid designed by I.M. Pei which crowns the new entrance. The museum was a filming location for the Da Vinci Code (2006), one of history's highest-grossing films.
