Trifthutte Hike & Trift Bridge in Switzerland: Incredible Mountain Hut

AirVuz contributor Jackson Groves brings us this excellent drone video from the Swiss Alps. The video captures a hike to the Trift Hut, an overnight accomodation operated by the Swiss Alpine Club in the canton of Bern in central Switzerland. One of the most recognizable sites en route is the Trift Bridge, a pedestrian-only span which has a length of about 170 meters or around 560 ft. You'll also get some nice views of the Trift Glacier. The Trift Hut is at an alevation of about 2.5k meters above sea level or around 8.3k ft.

The Trift Bridge and Trift Hut hike is an incredible 12km journey from Nessental Station or a shorter version of just 6km can be hiked from Triftbahn Station. Along the route you will pass the Trift Suspension Bridge that crosses the Triftsee, which was amazing! You can also visit Windegg Hut and of course enjoy the Trift Glacier views at the Trift Hut where it’s great to stay overnight.
