Heusden is a restored fortified town in the Dutch municipality of Heusden (province of North Brabant), located on the Bergsche Maas. In 1968 a start was made on restoring the fortified town of Heusden in the old style. This large-scale restoration project ran for forty years. Heusden is the capital of the Land van Heusden. Nearest towns are Waalwijk southwest of Heusden and 's-Hertogenbosch in the east.
