Williamsburg Bridge

Top contributor and drone pilot brings us this short but excellent aerial view of New York City's Williamsburg Bridge, which spans the East River between the Lower East Side of Manhattan and the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.  With a total length of a bit over 2.2k meters (around 7.3k ft.) and a longest single span of 490 meters (1.6k ft.), the bridge was the longest in the world when it opened in 1903.  It held the title for over two decades before being superseded by the Bear Mountain Bridge over the Hudson River.
