Quilico was flying in a valley that shows in each step the traces left by the glaciation known as Würm. The name Yantahuayco comes from the Kichwa words, Yanta = firewood and Huayku = stream. The valley is composed of a lacustrine system of eleven bodies of water of oligotrophic characteristics (clear waters with low productivity) that feed the stream of Yantahuayco, which later becomes the river El Chorro. Yantahuayco has an altitudinal range from 4040 to 4400 MASL. This footage shows the geological composition of the valley, a living heritage of the last glaciation whose erosive processes left traces that are represented in the abrupt and irregular formations of its walls and rocky peaks.
