I’m drawn to flying my drone over abandoned places, often with the goal of capturing the highest possible image quality through careful recording and color grading. In this case, however, I took a different approach. The factories depicted were once integral to the Nazi war machine, and it felt ethically dissonant to aestheticize their presence through conventional visual beauty. Instead, in post-production, I chose to alter the footage to evoke a post-apocalyptic atmosphere — a gesture toward the historical weight and moral decay embedded in the landscape.
