Aerial Grovetown, GA

Grovetown is a growing city in Columbia County, Georgia, situated around 10 miles west of Augusta. Historically an agricultural community, Grovetown provides a balance between a small-town atmosphere and access to urban conveniences. Originally incorporated in 1881, Grovetown is located roughly halfway between the state capitals of Georgia and South Carolina and northwest of Fort Gordon, near the northern end of the Middle Savannah River sub-basin.

The name of the small village purportedly came from the old Grove Baptist Church, which was founded in 1808. It is one of two chartered cities in Columbia County. Grovetown combines outdoor recreation, cultural heritage, family-friendly fun, and community spirit, making it a well-rounded destination for visitors and residents alike.
