Aliki Beach, Thassos Island, Greece

Aliki is a town in the south-eastern part of Tacos. It is a small rocky peninsula with two bays, separated by a narrow bay, immersed in the sea. At the top there are old ruins of an ancient sanctuary from the 7th century BC, from which a beautiful view of the sea opens.

The southern bay is a narrow strip of sand and flat stones with shallow and warm water. There are several restaurants and many sunbeds. You can't actually sit on this plane, but the water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming. The northern beach is smaller and stony, not so visited.

This area is a touristic symbol of the island of Thassos. We are surrounded on all sides by olive and conifer trees growing in the immediate vicinity. The setting has nothing to do with the tall deciduous forests in Bulgaria, but everything has its pluses and minuses.

The place is located in the south-eastern part of the island, 32 km from the capital of the island - Limenas. In summer, many tourists descend on the area not only for its archaeological interest, but also to enjoy swimming in the island's most picturesque beach. There are no hotels in the area, because Aliki is not a resort. Apart from the houses and establishments on the beach, there are no other facilities. Tourists can reach Aliki by car, taxi or regular bus routes. Access by car to the beach is very easy. The nearest villages are Skala Potamia (18 km) to the east and Potos (24 km) to the west.

The nearest tourist attractions are the exotic beach "Paradise" (9 km) with fine sand and turquoise waters, "Giola" (9.7 km), a famous natural pool with sea water and the Monastery of Archangel Michael (5 km) which offers a breathtaking breathtaking view. Built on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea, the monastery seems to float between the light blue of the sky and the dark blue of the sea.
