Тhis video presents the protected area of the "Yailata" archaeological reserve.

Yailata (yayla - plateau, high pasture) is a national archaeological reserve in the Dobrich region.

It is located 2 km south of Kamen bryag and 18 km northeast of Kavarna. It is a seaside terrace with an area of 300 acres, separated from the sea by rock massifs with a height of 50-60 m.

The area of Yaylata was declared an archaeological reserve in 1989 for the protection of protected species of plants and animals.

Yailata is a large rock terrace located 10-15 m above sea level and approximately as much below the continental level. The water area of the place here is exposed to the stormy winds, and nowadays, as in ancient times, it offers almost no harbor conditions.

In the area of Golyama Yaila, there is a "cave city" of 101 so-called "dwellings" - natural caves modified by human hands, dated to the 5th millennium BC. They are located on several levels in the rocks and have been used for millennia.

The area "Yailata" has been declared an archaeological reserve. It covers a relatively large area of the coastline, starting north of the village of Kamen Bryag and reaching south to the Rusalka resort, as well as the sea strip with a width of 500 meters along the coast.
