Mildura Natural Beauty 2024

Mildura is a beautiful, thriving Australian town that is surrounded by incredible natural beauty such as the Murray River, Salt Lake and Lake Tyrrell, Red Cliffs, sandy apex beach, sand dunes (Perry Sandhills) and natural botanic gardens with a 2,500 year old WOW tree, birds and emus plus national parks. It is a river gem in a remote part of Australia.

Although it is inland you can see that at one time it was probably under the ocean with the remnants of sand and salt lakes. If you like nature, outdoors or photography then you are going to love Mildura, not to mention the other great parts of Mildura such as boats, water skiing, house boats, camping, hot weather, great food and wine plus the greenery of local farming made possible due to irrigation.

I captured these drone shots a few weeks ago when I visited Mildura. It was 39C/103F each day I was there but it didn't stop me exploring this incredible region. Thanks to Australian Inland Botanic Gardens for the private tour and allowing me to capture the 2,500 year old Mallee Eucalyptus tree with my drone. They were closed due to the extreme heat but they opened it up for us when they learned we could only visit that day.
