Palombaggia Beach is situated on the island's southeastern coast, on the south side of the peninsula which forms the southern side of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio. The body of water here is the Tyrrhenian Sea, an inlet of the Mediterranean formed by the sea's three largest islands: Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica.
