HISTORY

1986: Permedica S.p.A. was founded by Marco Perego. Orthopedic hip and knee implants are the focus of the company.

1992: The first implant produced by Permedica is introduced on the market. This is the Jump femoral stem.

1997: The company is continually growing and needs expansion. The Merate headquarters is inaugurated.

2015: The Permedica Orthopedics brand is born.

2016: The international expansion of the company begins with the opening of the first branch: Permedica Switzerland.

2017: First implantation of the Mirai shoulder prosthesis. Permedica adds shoulder arthroplasty solutions to its product portfolio.

The opening of Permedica Germany consolidates the international growth of the company.

2018: Permedica strengthens its international presence in new markets, with 2 subsidiaries and over 20 distributors worldwide.

2019: Permedica India is born, a crucial presence that strengthens the company's presence on the Asian continent.

2020: With the opening of Permedica Austria, Permedica completes its presence in the DACH region.

The company's growth does not stop and manifests itself with the introduction of Permedica South Korea, thus consolidating its market presence in Asia.

The company now has a presence in more than 25 countries around the world.

2021: The expansion continues, reaching a highly strategic milestone thanks to the opening of the Permedica Australia branch.

With 6 branches and more than 30 distributors, Permedica is present and operates on five continents.

2023: The European consolidation materializes with the launch of the Permedica France branch, which represents a fundamental hub.

A further step forward in this direction is the opening of the Permedica UK branch.

The constant development has also led to exceeding 40 international distributors.
