Shaori Fortress

Shaori Fortress is an ancient megalithic structure located near Lake Paravani. It stands at an elevation of approximately 2,100 meters above sea level. The estimated period of construction dates back to the 2nd–1st millennium BCE, during the Bronze or Early Iron Age. The fortress has an oval shape, featuring an inner courtyard and several chambers. It is believed that ritual sacrifices or astronomical observations may have been conducted here. Some researchers suggest that the arrangement of the stones reveals patterns related to solstices and equinoxes.
