Castel del Monte is a thirteenth-century fortress built by Frederick II of Swabia, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and King of Sicily, on the top of a hill at 540 meters above sea level in the Apulian plateau of the Western Murge. Included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1996. It is also depicted on the Italian version of the 1 euro cent coin. IG: @carmine_bufano - @kairos.droneservices
