Based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Met Life Stadium is home to both the New York Jets and Giants NFL football teams.  By building a stadium for both teams to share, the immense construction costs (US$1.8 billion, a record for a new stadium) could be spread over twice as many home games.  In this video, contributor All Island Aerial flies his drone over this behemouth venue to create this amazing bird's eye view!

Yankee Stadium Drone Footage

In this drone video by 914phantom, you'll get a bird's eye view of Yankee Stadium in New York City.  Completed in 2009, it replaced the old stadium of the same name, which was known as the House that Ruth Built in honor of the legendary Yankee slugger.  The 51,000 seat (for baseball) stadium was built at a cost of about $2.3 billion, making it the most expensive ever built.  It's situated next to the site of the original version in the south Bronx, across the East River from Upper Manhattan.

Dodger Stadium

Contributor Dave Yip brings us this aweseome aerial view of Dodger Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball team.  In the 1960's, when the then-Brooklyn Dodgers couldn't get a new stadium built in New York, the owner relocated the team to LA.  Dodger Stadium was built to become the home of California's first MLB team.   The stadium is located in an area called Chavez Ravine, which is (as you will see from the video) very near downtown LA.

The southeastern USA state of Alabama is one of the most important states for American football, yet it has no professional (National Football League) football team.  Instead these energies are channeled into enthusiasm for college football, notably at the University of Alabama.  In this video, contributor Alex Smirts flies a drone over the Bryant-Denny football stadium in Tuscaloosa, located near the center of this Southeastern USA state.  It's named after the legendary U of A coach William "Bear" Bryant.

Saint Petersburg Stadium - 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia

Saint Petersburg's new, super-modern stadium is built on the site of the Kirov Stadium on Krestovsky Island, which, in its day, was one of Russia's largest stadiums, with a regular seating capacity of 110,000.  The stadium hosted the Opening Match and Final of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.  Contributor Dronemedia.me flew a drone over this massive new sports facility and created this amazing aerial view of the stadium and its surroundings.

While FAA rules forbid drone flights over Major League Baseball games, there are no such rules on days when no games are played.  While access to the stadium is controlled by its owners, a drone pilot with the right connections can create an aerial video of the venue.  Contributor Robby Incmakowski, a TV sports reporter, was at Petco Park in San Diego when he created this epic bird's eye view of the $450 million stadium.  Home of the San Diego Padres, the 2004 vintage park seats just over 40,000.

Akwa Ibom International Soccer Stadium

Professional drone piloting company GlobalAirMedia was created this amazing drone video of Nigeria's Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in the state of Akwa Ibom, in the southern part of Africa's most populous country.  The stadium seats 30k fans and was built in 2014.  It's home to a professional football (soccer) teams, and is also used for various cultural and recreational events.  The modern complex was designed to be similar to Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

Busch Stadium Tour

Check out this remarkable drone video of Busch Stadium in St. Louis, shot by contributor and Major League pitcher RobbyIncmikoski.  The stadium is sometimes known as Busch Stadium III as it's the third stadium with the same name to host the famed St. Louis Cardinals, one of the most celebrated teams in baseball.  The current stadium, which seats about 45,000, was built in 2006. That very year, it hosted Game 5 of the World Series, in which the Cardinals won their 10th championship.

Stadium Shah Alam, Malaysia

The Shah Alam Stadium lies in the state of Selangor, which previously also included the city of Kuala Lumpur.  The stadium was built in 1990 and has a capacity of a bit over 80k.    While Shah Alam is primarily used for football (soccer), it serves as the venue for other sports as well.  Contributor Jeremy1975 used a drone to give us a nice aerial tour of this stadium located on the outskirts of the Malaysian capital city.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum is one of the most storied sports venues in the USA.  Built in the 1920's, it was expanded to be the prime venue for the 1932 Summer Olympics, a role it replayed when LA hosted its second Olympics in 1984.  At times, it was also home to the LA Rams and Raiders of the National Football League, all the while the home field of the USC football team.  In this video, DeeFair23 gives us a bird's eye view of the great sports venue.

Buenos Aires: La Bombonera

Contributor Zekedrone created this amazing bird's eye views of one of the world's most well recognized football (soccer) stadiums.  La Bombonera stadium is located in Argentina's capital city Buenos Aires.  It's name translates into "Chocolate Box" due to its unusual shape.  It's the home stadium of the Boca Juniors, one of the most popular football teams in South America.  Opened in 1940, the stadium has a seating capacity of about 50,000.  It's been refurbished several times.

Contributor Brian Priest Aerial Images created this beautiful night aerial tour of one of the largest football (soccer) stadiums in the United Kingdom.  The Stadium of Light is based Sunderland, a suburb of Newcastle in the heart of the rabid UK football culture in Northern England.  The 49,000 stadium is the home of the Sunderland A.F.C., which plays in League One of the English Football League.  The stadium is the eighth largest overall in the UK by capacity.

Thatdroneview put together this beautiful aerial video of Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.  Completed in 1987, it's the home of the Miami Dolphins, one of the 2-3 most storied teams in the National Football League.  It's also the home field of the University of Miami Hurricanes college football team and the Orange Bowl, one of the premiere college football post-season events.  From 1993 to 2011, it was also home to the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball team.  The stadium sits about 65,000 for football.

Salt Lake Stadium: Kolkata, West Bengal,

Streamon created this aerial video of India's Salt Lake Stadium (Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan), which hosted the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup football tournament.  With current seating capacity of 85,000, it's the largest in India.  Before its renovation in 2011, it seated 120,000, and was the world's largest football stadium.  In 1997, the stadium packed in almost 132,000 spectators for a tournament, a record which still stands.  Salt Lake Stadium is located in Bidhannagar, part of metropolitan Kolkata.

Terryjames shared this drone video of Doak Campbell Stadium, the home of the Florida State University Seminoles.  It's based on the school's campus in the state capital, Tallahassee. Opened in 1950, for nearly seven decades it's been the home field for one of the most storied college football programs in history.  The stadium, which seats just over 80,000 fans, is known as the largest continuous brick structure in the United States.  It's now technically called Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

The New Diablos Rojos Stadium

Award winning contributor and drone pilot Postandfly used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone to create this stunning aerial video of the new Diablos Rojos Stadium in Mexico City.  It's the home of the Mexico City Red Devils (Diablos Rojos del México), a Triple-A minor league baseball team which is part of the Mexican League.  Since their founding in 1940, they have been the league's dominant team, with 16 championships.   The stadium, which has 13,000 covered seats, hosts its first game in March, 2019.
