6th Annual New York City Drone Film Festival - Extreme Sports Category

One word: adrenaline!  From the athletes who perform these sports, to the pilots who fly right beside them (and let’s be honest, above, below, and all around, too), and even for us who are simply watching, these videos get our hearts pounding as we go along for the ride.  Drones allow pilots to get the best close-up shot, and yet simultaneously also can pan out for the important context of the larger arena or setting. Whether they are flying down a ski hill, cruising over waves, or pushing the car-drifting limits, the subjects of these nominated videos to the Extreme Sports category have our utmost, energy-filled attention, and we applaud the drone pilots who captured them so brilliantly.
