Here's a nice aerial view of Levi's Stadium in south San Francisco Bay, compliments of contributor caldroneflyer.  Opened in 2014, the 68,500 seat stadium is the home of the San Francisco 49ers, one of the most storied teams in the National Football League.  It's located in the town of Santa Clara, just north of San Jose.  The stadium replaced Candlestick Park just south of the city of San Francisco, which had also been the home of the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball team until 2000.

Brand-new AirVuz contributor and pilot Above Summit brings us this fantastic drone video of Boston's Fenway Park, home of Major League Baseball's Boston Red Sox.  The video was shot on the snowy opening day of the 2019 season, which was (fortunately) an "away" game for the Sox.  Opened in 1912, MLB's oldest ballpark is also one of its smallest, with a seating capacity of only 37k.  Located in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood along the Charles River, the park was the filming location for the climax of the crime thriller the Town (2010).

Check out this awesome aerial view of Pittsburgh's Heinz Field, courtesy of contributor and pilot Blaze.  He used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 to aerially film the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the 2-3 most storied names in the National Football League.  Opened in 2001 on a site adjacent to the old (multi-purpose) Riverfront Stadium across the Ohio River from downtown, Heinz currently seats 68.4k for football (which also includes the University of Pittsburgh Panthers) and up to 75k for concerts.

Check out this drone video of one of the most storied stadiums in American football, compliments of Nick McGee.  Soldier Field is situated on the Lake Michigan waterfront of Chicago, Illinois.  Opened in 1924, it's the home of the Chicago Bears, one of the oldest teams in the National Football League.  Soldier Field underwent a substantial renovation in the early 2000's, when most of its interior was demolished.  It currently seats about 61.5k fans, making it one of the smaller stadiums in the NFL.

As part of a colloboration with Major League Baseball, contributor Blaze was given permission to fly out of Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, a few weeks before the 2019 All Star Game was held here.  The stadium opened as Jacobs Field in 1994, and is the home of the Cleveland Indians.  Its regular seating capacity is a bit under 35k, and it was chosen as the #1 MLB ballpark by fans in a well-respected 2008 survey by Sports Illustrated.  The field sits just to the southeast of downtown Cleveland.

Empower Field at Mile High is the latest name for the home field of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League.  Located just southwest of downtown, the 76k seat stadium opened in 2001.  It's gone under several different names, most of which were variations on the name of the Broncos' first home field: Mile High Stadium, in reference to the city's elevation of over 5k ft. AirVuz contributor hankstahlecker brings us this marvelous one-shot drone view of San Francisco's Oracle Park, the home field of the city's San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball team.  The stadium was named Pac Bell Park when it opened in 2000 and for nearly two decades thereafter until Oracle acquired naming rights in 2019.  The video ends with a dramatic pullback shot over the San Francisco Bay (which lies immediately to the east of the stadium), revealing the city's Financial District to the north of Oracle Park.

Streamon created this aerial video of India's Salt Lake Stadium (Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan), which hosted the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup football tournament.  With current seating capacity of 85,000, it's the largest in India.  Before its renovation in 2011, it seated 120,000, and was the world's largest football stadium.  In 1997, the stadium packed in almost 132,000 spectators for a tournament, a record which still stands.  Salt Lake Stadium is located in Bidhannagar, part of metropolitan Kolkata.

Terryjames shared this drone video of Doak Campbell Stadium, the home of the Florida State University Seminoles.  It's based on the school's campus in the state capital, Tallahassee. Opened in 1950, for nearly seven decades it's been the home field for one of the most storied college football programs in history.  The stadium, which seats just over 80,000 fans, is known as the largest continuous brick structure in the United States.  It's now technically called Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Here's an excellent drone video of Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox Major League Baseball team.  Opened in 1991, the 40.6k stadium replaced Comiskey Park, the home of the city's American League team for the prior 81 years.  Sometimes called Comiskey Park II, it's located just off the Dan Ryan Expressway on the city's South Side, across the street from its now-demolished predecessor.  On October, 2005, the stadium hosted Games 1-2 of the World Series, which the White Sox went on to win for their first Championship since 1917.

Check out these drone views of the Olympic Stadium of Athens, Greece, compliments of Drone.as.  It's part of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex in Marousi, northeast of the center of the Greek capital city.  The stadium was the primary venue for the 2004 Summer Olympics.  The stadium is also called Spyros Louis, in honor of the winner of the first modern Olympics marathon, which was held in Athens in 1996.  The stadium was originally completed in 1982 but underwent substantial alteration (including a renaming) in connection with the Games.

Check out this aerial video of Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, compliments of contributor and drone pilot Blaze.  The home field of the Arizona State University Sun Devils men's football team, it's located about 18 km (around 11 mi.) southeast of downtown Phoenix.  The 53.6k seat stadium just completed a major, US$300MM renovation.  It was the home of the Phoenix Cardinals of the National Football League from 1988-2005.  It was the venue for the Fiesta Bowl for 35 years and later the Cactus Bowl.

Pepsi Center is the main indoor sporting venue in Denver, Colorado.  It's home to the Nuggets of the National Basketball League and the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League.  It's also the city's primary indoor concert arena.  It currently seats about 19.5k fans for basketball and about 10% fewer for hockey.  Located in the downtown area roughly between Coors Field and Mile High Stadium, the stadium opened in 1997.  You can see it from above in this drone video by Blaze.

Check out this drone video of Portugal's biggest football (soccer) stadium, compliments of flyingbydaniel: the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.  It's the home of the S.L. Benfica club, which competes in the top-flight Primeira Liga league. The stadium opened in 2003, replacing an older facility of the same name.  The stadium seats just under 65k fans, putting it amongst the top 25 in Europe.  In a survey conducted by the French sporting publication in 2014, it was voted as Europe's most beautiful stadium.

SkyCandy Studios worked with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Associate (NBA) to produce this awesome aerial view of the newly renovated Target Center, the team's home arena.  Located in downtown Minneapolis, the arena opened in 1990 for the expansion team's second season.  In 2017, Target Center underwent a complete renovation, a project which cost roughly 40% more than the arena's initial construction cost.  Its current capacity is almost 19,000 for basketball.

AirVuz contributor Bumble Bee Productions brings us this excellent drone video of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium, one of the USA's largest college football stadiums.  The home of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, it's situated on the school's main campus in Knoxville.  Originally dating to 1921, the stadium has been expanded several times in the ensuing century.  It now seats about 102.5k fans, putting it in the #4 spot amongst the USA's college football stadiums and amongst the half-dozen largest non-racing stadiums in the world.

Check out this fantastic drone video of Oriole Park at Camden Yards baseball stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, compliments of AirVuz contributor Polaris.Aerial.Media.  The home of the Majo League Baseball team the Baltimore Orioles, the park was completed in 1992.  It was the first in what became a wave of "retro" styled baseball-only stadiums that replaced many of the dual-use facilities built from the 1950's-1980's.   The 45k seat stadium was also critical to the redevelopment of the nearby Inner Harbor area of the city.

Check out this drone video of San Francisco's just-completed Chase Center, compliments of contributor FlyinCameras.  The 18k seat arena opened in September, 2019 as the new home of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball League, NBA Champions in three of the five seasons beginning with the 2014-15 season.  Chase Center is located in the Mission Bay area, just south of the Bay Bridge.   Prior to the 2019-2020 NBA season, the team had played at Oracle Arena in Oakland for nearly five decades.

Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Stadium is one of the great landmarks of the Indonesian capital city.  Seen in this drone video by AirVuz contributor ariotrihantoro, it's part of a sports complex in the Tanah Abang District on the southwestern side of Central Jakarta.  Opened in 1962, the venue is primarily used for football.  Originally seating 110k fans, its capacity has been reduced through several renovations, the last of which occurred in connection with the 2018 Asian Games; it now seats just over 77k.

While FAA rules forbid drone flights over Major League Baseball games, there are no such rules on days when no games are played.  While access to the stadium is controlled by its owners, a drone pilot with the right connections can create an aerial video of the venue.  Contributor Robby Incmakowski, a TV sports reporter, was at Petco Park in San Diego when he created this epic bird's eye view of the $450 million stadium.  Home of the San Diego Padres, the 2004 vintage park seats just over 40,000.

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot New Entertainment Pictures brings us this fantastic drone video of one of Germany's most well-known football stadiums: Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart.  The original stadium dates to 1933.  It has since been heavily modified on numerous occasions, most recently in a major facelift which was completed in 2011.  Easily recognizable by its unique fabric roof, the venue holds up to about 60k fans, limited to about 55k for international matches.  Its home team is VfB Stuttgart, part of the Bundesliga League.
