Drone Views of Hamburg

The port city of Hamburg in northern Germany is one of the keys to the country's export-oriented economy.  The city is home to the largest German seaport and the second largest port in the entire European Union after Rotterdam.  Lying on a river about 110 km (around 70 mi) upstream from the North Sea, the city is the core of a metropolitan area of about 5 million, the second largest in Germany after Berlin.  New Entertainment Pictures created this magnificent drone video of the great city on the River Elbe.

The Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany enjoys the distinction of being the largest and most technologically sophisticated concert hall in the world.  Situated on the banks of the Elbe River in the country's second-largest city, the hall was completed in early 2017 at an estimated cost of almost a billion US dollars.  It's design resembles a sail, partly in reference to the city's port, the busiest in Germany and the third-largest in the European Union.  The building also serves as a residential complex and hosts a hotel.
