Čachtický Castle

Contributor Pavol Turčani created this stunning drone video of one of the most well known castles in Slovakia, a country known for its castles. Čachtice Castle is situated near a town of the same name in the Trenčín Region, in the northwestern corner of the country.  The 13th century castle derives its fame in part from its association with a Hungarian noblewoman named Elizabeth Báthory, who was accused of murdering dozens (perhaps hundreds) of people in the castle around the turn of the 16th century.
