A slow-motion sunset flight over Cargill's Salt Farm. "Now closed, Cargill's San Francisco Bay Area salt works was one of only two in the entire United States. Utilizing the natural Redwood City sun and breeze, Cargill crystallized 500,000 tons of sea salt for road use each year at this location. In order to produce higher quality salt, Cargill has moved production to its Newark location. Fitted with a refinery, food and pharmaceutical-grade salts are able to be produced.
