DJI Mini 2 - Can it film good 4K video in strong wind? First Flight

After flying the new DJI Mini 2 on this gusty, windy evening I was really shocked by how much faster and better it is compared to the original Mavic Mini. It handled the wind really well and without any wind warnings. Although it was buffeted more than a bigger, heavier drone, it still did the job capturing smooth video and I was able to get it back, although I had to put it on sports mode several times otherwise it would take forever to fly back. What I did like is that Sports mode is now a switch on the controller, so you can quickly toggle between cinematic, normal and sports modes depending on the situation. The Mini 2 can also be flown up to 10km or 6 miles away. I am also really impressed with the 4K quality. The video is sharp even when flying sideways due to 100Mbps video write speed. The video quality looks similar to the DJI Mavic 2 Pro although it is missing the dynamic range and DLOG color profile which the Mavic 2 Pro is famous for. The Mini 2 wanted a compass calibration twice prior to take off which I did. I recommend it as I know of 2 people who had "fly aways" with their new DJI Mini 2 so I am guessing DJI still need to iron out some compass issues in their software. I will definitely be using my new Mini 2 for those times when I don't want to carry a bigger drone or when a more discrete 249g drone is better suited to the flight. The Mini 2 is hardly noticeable and very quiet plus it is easy to carry being light (about the weight of a mobile phone) and small. I didn't get anywhere near the advertised 31 minute flight time but then I wasn't surprised by it. It might have been around 22 minutes for each battery although I was flying it pretty hard. I definitely recommend the Mini 2 combo as you will need 3 batteries given it is so much fun to fly.
