Etna Volcano | Between The Clouds
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
You'll get an entirely new perspective of the volcanic Mt. Etna on the Italian island of Sicily with this amazing first person view (FPV) video by Livyu FPV. With an elevation of about 3.3k meters above sea level (about 11k ft.), Mount Etna is the highest peak in Italy south of the Alps; it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 2013. In the video, the pilot uses long-range video and RC transmission to take on this fearsome monster with a racing drone, earning a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2019.

Managing to fly at an active volcano was a privilege and a way to recall that mather nature is more powerful than we are used to on a daily basis. The volcano just entered a new activity faze when we arrived, we could hear loud explosions 1.5 km away and rocks could be seen flying out of the crater. One day after we visited, the volcano erupted with lava flows that could be seen 30km away.
