Flatdal and Seljord, Norway - Do you believe in monsters?
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Top contributor ToB Creations created this beautiful aerial view of from the southern part of Norway. The video was filmed over the municipality of Seljord in Telemark County, about a 90 minute drive southwest of the Norwegian capital city of Oslo. The video features excellent footage of the beautiful mountains and forests of the area, as well as the town of Flatdal. It also contains footage of Lake Seljord, which is the home of a mythical sea serpent called Selma that is (in effect) the Norwegian equivalent of the Loch Ness Monster.

We go for a drive, one of the first really nice and warm summer days in our district. It is Sunday 29 May 2021. We first stop at Flatdal, which is located in Seljord municipality. Then we stop in Seljord itself. This town is the annual host of a couple of music festivals and an agricultural fair called Dyrsku'n. But many people come here for another reason as well. It is a well-established "truth" that Lake Seljordsvatnet has a sea monster. Observations have been made for hundreds of years and more scientific research has also been done. As far as I know, no final conclusion has been reached. 😉
