Fortress
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor and drone pilot Maikl_rus created this beautiful drone video of one of the most well-known fortresses in the Caucasus republic of Georgia. Khertvisi is situated in the Meskheti region in the south-central part of the country, along a traditional invasion route from the south. The site was home to a structure which was allegedly destroyed by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC. The current structure was built in the 14th century and served a military purpose until well into the 19th century.
