HUGE MOST BEAUTIFUL ABANDONED FORTRESS IN EUROPE! (Drone Footage)

This Drone Footage Video captures the Italian fort of La Fortezza di Monte Altura with a HUGE staircase. The standing sentinel on a rocky crag, this sturdy 19th-century bastion was built to help defend the north coast and Arcipelago di La Maddalena from invasion – something it was never called on to do. By the admission of its own designers, this was the most beautiful fortress in Europe in the nineteenth century . In short, it was decorated with this high-sounding title perhaps in the ambition of becoming the best military work of the time. The numerous buildings that we find inside it were once enabled to lodge officers, non-commissioned officers, dormitories for the military. But also stables, garages, workshops and warehouses. There were also cultivated gardens and gardens. In short, a real military citadel spread over a large hill of very hard stone, to form one of the largest forts built in the nineteenth century.
