La Gomera - Red Lands

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : AirVuz contributor and pilot scuervo.traveler brings us this marvelous drone video from La Gomera, one of the smaller main islands of Spain's Canary Islands. The video was filmed around the Mirador de Abrante viewpoint, which lies on the northern side of the island. The video provides excellent views of the "red lands" around the scenic vista. In the shots facing to the north, you'll be able to see Tenerife, the largest and most populous of the Canaries, which lie off the coast of Northern Africa.

Red lands of Abrante 🏜️. On some hills in the north we find land that seems enchanted.

They are ancient volcanic materials 🌋 altered by geological processes that oxidize and transform their minerals, giving them that reddish hue as seen in these lands right next to the Abrante viewpoint.

🔔If you visit the Mirador de Abrante, just to the left you can find this place (it is not entirely well signposted so you have to look carefully)
