Larescia Peak - “Eagle’s Nest” Bivouac (Ticino, Switzerland)

Punta di Larescia (2'195m) is at the end of a short ridge, which in the environs of Pizzo Bareta shoots off the main ridge. From this summit you have a marvelous view to Valle Blenio and Rheinwaldhorn vis-à-vis. On the top there is a small bivouac made of sheet metal (Nido d’Aquila, eagle's nest). Also called Cima di Gorda, Punta di Larescia is an ideal ski tour after a snowfall or even with an elevated avalanche risk.
