Medina The Ancient City Malta

The ancient city of Mdina is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Mediterranean island of Malta.  The one-time Muslim settlement built atop a hill on the island's interior was Malta's most important city during the centuries when the island was under the control of Sicily.  Much more recently, Mdina and was a primary filming location for the first season of HBO's of Game of Thrones fantasy/historical TV series.    Check out this aerial view of Mdina, compliments of contributor and pilot AD Drone.
