This video concludes my England journey of 2024: The DJI Mini 3 Pro was broken and it was raining so no joy at Stonehenge (first drone footage at 2:22 if you can't stand ground footage). A quick visit to slightly older Woodhenge where concrete poles show the position of the original wooden ones. Old Sarum is a former hill fort and town and cathedral seat before it was moved to Salisbury (see last video). Flowerdown Barrows are hard to make out and the Mini refused to fly. They're supposed to be up to 4000 years old.Wolvesey Castle was the residence of the bishops of Winchester. The cathedral's oldest parts are from the 11th century, the eastern parts were rebuilt later in Early English and Decorated styles, the nave's Norman pillars were encased in Perpendicular Style.Northington Grange is mostly intact and dates from around 1665 and 1809.Waverley Abbey was England's first Cistercian Abbey in 1128 and is ideal for drones. Newark Priory is closed to the public.Harmondsworth Great Barn was closed as well and right next to Heathrow Airport.Farnham Castle Keep was closed as well as Hill House which by now is mostly apartments.
