Riverbank State Park is the only park of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. The idea was to built a park atop the the North River Wastewater Treatment Plant located on the Henry Hudson Parkway, 69 feet (21 m) above the Hudson River Designed by Dattner Architects and Abel Bainnson Butz Landscape Architects and opened in 1993.
