Kilchurn Castle is one of my favorites in Scotland - interesting shape, enough but not too much gone, great setting on Loch Awe. It was built from the 15th century.

Butter Bridge (not too far from Inveraray) was part of the military roads constructed 1749 to finally subdue the highlands. The name derives from the fact that cows would be driven into the valley in summer to give milk, that was used to make butter.
