The third part of my in-depth series features mostly castles near the water. But first two monastery ruins before breakfast: Sweetheart Abbey, founded 1273, and Lincluden Collegiate Church from around 1400. Then we're off to Innis Chonnel Castle. It sits on a tiny island near the eastern shore of Loch Awe. It's easily seen from the shore and the air, if you've got a boat: go for it. Next is Kilchurn Castle, a place I previously loved, but now it's full of signs: no drones, no camping, no fires, no weddings, no nothing. Even the other side of the loch sports no drones signs but I found a spot without any signs though it was a bit far in the light rain to really get good shots - shame. Next we have Stalker Castle, that sits on another tiny island on the eastern shore of Loch Linnhe. Often seen, never entered, at least now shot with drones in light rain. The final spot for the day is Inverlochy Castle, closed for the public right now. It's north of Loch Linnhe very close to Neptune's Staircase. Drones: DJI FPV (GoPro 10), GepRC Cinelog 25 HD (GoPro 8), DJI Mini 2, additional footage by Osmo Pocket Music: AShamaluev.com
